Several die in Alabama shooting

At least five people have been killed in a shooting in the southern US state of Alabama.

Police in the town of Samson say the gunman is among those who died. It is unclear whether he killed himself or was shot by police.

There are no details about the circumstances of the shooting. The FBI has sent an agent to assist the local sheriff's office.

Samson has a population of about 2,000 people and is near the Florida border.
